And Duster Makes Three
July 20, 2008
I’ve added a new pattern to the Patterns page: the Biffer Duster Wig. This rounds out my Cotton Cleaners collection. I’ve been a little slow getting that one up, but I hope you enjoy it! As with the other patterns I have listed there, please let me know if you find any boo-boos, I’ve tried to make everything as clear as possible but new eyes see new things…

Oh. MY. I don’t think I can convey to you the true extent of the sugary sweetness that POURED out of my mouth when I saw these little darlings. There were eight of them and they were no more than an inch high. They scurried just as fast as their little legs would take them, stumbling and tripping and falling over onto their sides. Oh! It was just more preciousness than my heart could possibly stand. Really. ReallyReally.
How I talk to my kitty, Bella, had NOTHING on this…
ETA: ooo, in all my gushy-mushy-smoopsy-woopsy blabberings I didn’t even mention what those little pookies are! Thanks for the question, Stacey, they are quail. :)

W – it was very high pitched and girly, haha!

Thanks for the Biffer Shrug pattern! I couldn’t find a place to comment on it, but here’s mine: http://raisingexplorers.blogspot.com/2008/07/figs-halloween-crochet-for-your-swiffer.html If you want to see. It’s excellente, and I really appreciate you sharing it. I am new to crochet and it was a great practice and taught me something new.

Love the duster pattern! I have one of those but don’t want to spend money on disposable ones, so this is perfect! Also going to do the Buffer one for the floor mop. Thank you for sharing your talent.

Thanks for this pattern! I was looking at mine (duster) last week and thinking – “there has to be some way to make something I don’t have to throw away and can reuse…” and here it is!
One question: what kind of novelty yarns to you recommend?
I’ve made the swiffer cover, actually have made multiples. Plus I enlarged it just a bit for the mop. Just throw them in with the cleaning rags, etc. (Do I have to admit that I got one large cone just to make them? I have also made some from leftovers, which are pretty colorful until you bleach them.)
