out of the mouth of babes
gherkin (to son during lunch): don’t put so much in your mouth at once.
baby gherkin (after a few moments of readjusting the bite on his fork): i’m taking a small bite. you can take a large bite because you have a large mouth.
gherkin: um, yes. thank you.

hey!
chanelle! did you know that the guy who does Spongebob’s voice is also Mr. Lopart from Handy Mandy?!!
AND! AND!!! the guy who does Patrick….IS “DAUBER” FROM COACH!!
and Mr. Krabs is played by Clancy Brown, who shows up in movies and you always say, “hey! THAT guy!”
Mrs. Puff is voiced by the lady who plays Ms. Applebaum on That’s So Raven! (and who also had a HUGE career n her “younger days” on shows like ALF and Mr. Belvedere, etc. crazy.
Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy? Done by Ernest Borgnine and Tin Conway!

What’s New Scooby-Doo
every now and then i have an epiphany, and today was one of those times. i was watching the cartoon channel, not unlike me (which is possibly why i know that blanket-carrying Linus is a different character than piano-playing Schroeder on Peanuts. ahem.), and the new Scooby-doo came on. Can i just say that i really like this show? i really like this show. it’s true to the original, and has an awesome new theme song…so awesome in fact that i went to imdb to find out who sings it and where i can find more of them. I still havent found that out because i was FLOORED to find out that the voice of Shaggy is (and has been since the beginning) CASEY KASEM! WHAAAAAA?? how many of you out there knew that?? and of course now that i know that it is so obvious, but i never ever knew.and THEN, i look up the girl that now does Daphne, and she’s the same chick that does evil Vicky on the Fairly Oddparents (one of my fav cartoons), and was Piper in Robots, AND is in Kim Possible (another fav) and Danny Phantom and Avatar (love it). seriously?
AND Velma is now played by Mindy Cohn…whom you may know from the Facts of Life as Nathalie Green.
the guy that plays, and has always played, Fred (who is the same guy who now plays Scooby!)…is George from Curious George, and Goddard from Jimmy Neutron (me likey) AND Nibbler from Futurama (i miss you!), and was Santa’s Little Helper on 18 episodes of the Simpsons (my all-time favorite show).
um, how awesome would it be to do cartoon voices?! How can i get some of THAT action?? Tom, can you hook a sista up??
ok, so the theme is performed by Simple Plan, a french-canadian band who is very Green Day-esque.
nana-nana-na, nana-nana-na, nana-na na-nana-naa, nana-nana-na, nana-nana-na, nana-nana-naaa.
